I bought this amplifier to allow me to add two speakers to my TV. It works just fine. It drives two AR bookcase sized speakers. I don't know how it would do on larger ones.

I use this amplifier with a Samsung LCD 22 inch TV in my kitchen. The Samsung TV speakers are down pointing provided very poor audio and to make matter worse the TV is mounted in a kitchen cabinet. Connected the Pyle amplifier to the earphone jack of the TV and the amplifer drives two small JVC 100 watt speakers. The amplifier is on permanently and is slightly warm to touch. Sound is very good and there is more gain than I would ever need. My only recommendation is that the amplifier have higher quality and easer to use speaker wire connections.

This small bookshelf amp saves space and gives, IMO, decent sound for a very low end amp. The amp came in a couple days after I ordered it and arrived in perfect physical condition.
The base and treble dials work as did every thing else which is obvious from the picture.
Notable is that I hear NO adventitious sounds from the speakers such as a hiss, buzz, etc. from the speakers I hooked up.
The sound is clear and vibrant.
One thing to note is that the amp does NOT come with a wire to hook up the speakers so you are on your own on that. I used a couple pieces of wire I cannibalized from left over fan wires and it works fine.
I give this a four star rating mainly because it gives a very good value for the cost. If it breaks in the future I will try and find this post and edit it accordingly.
I am completely satisfied and highly recommend you give this amp a try if the product description fits your requirements.

This little amp packs alot for the money. I am using it to power some outdoor speakers on my deck. It is great the sound is awsome. The bass and treble controls are just what you need for that little tweeking. It will not rock your socks off but it is not built for that. It is great for the job at hand.

My daughter had an old turntable and had just bought a stack of vinyl records. She had no way to play them since most of her music comes from her computer with powered speakers. I had two good speakers from a broken stereo system and offered to give them to her. What was stilled needed was a powered amp with RCA jacks and wired slots for the speakers. The Pyle Home Amp was perfect for the job. She now has a stand-alone system that plays her vinyls loud and clear. Great value for the money.
